Print area and template
A round fan is not a standard rectangle; the print area is a circular surface and can be printed double-sided (front-back). Designing around this circular form prevents important elements from being cut off at the edge.
Before the order we share the print template (cut line, safe area and bleed marked); placing your design on this template gives the healthiest result.
Resolution and file format
A clear print requires a file of sufficient resolution. Low-resolution images come out blurry and pixelated in print.
- ▹Vector format is preferred: PDF, AI or SVG (ideal for logo and typography)
- ▹For image/photo: at least 300 DPI at the real print size
- ▹Avoid small/compressed images taken from the internet
Color: CMYK and Pantone
Screens show color in RGB; printing works with a different color logic. To avoid unexpected color shifts, the design must be prepared with print logic.
- ▹Think of the design in CMYK
- ▹Provide a Pantone reference for corporate colors
- ▹Remember that very bright neon RGB tones may not print exactly
- ▹Sublimation prints gradients and photos very well; use them freely
Bleed and safe area
There can be millimeter shifts in cutting, so two rules are important. Bleed is extending the background color/pattern slightly beyond the cut line so no white gap remains at the edge. The safe area is keeping important elements like text and logo inside the edge so they are not cropped during cutting.
Typography and legibility
The fan is a dynamic product seen from a distance, so typography should be simple and legible.
- ▹Avoid very thin and very small text
- ▹Keep text vector or send/outline the fonts
- ▹Keep contrast high; legibility on the print surface matters
Common mistakes and file delivery
The most common issues are low resolution, missing bleed, text too close to the edge and expecting RGB neon colors. Preventing these up front keeps the approval sample and mass production smooth.
